The Paris Biofoundry has extended its submission deadline for its call for proposals to March 30th and is hosting an online information session to present the call and the technologies we are developing to support academic teams, startups, and industrial partners.

This Zoom meeting will be an opportunity to:
• Discover our automated Design–Build–Test–Learn (DBTL) workflows
• Understand what the Paris Biofoundry can (and cannot) offer within this call
• Discuss project fit, feasibility, and cost structure directly with the Biofoundry team

Call for Proposals – Key Information

The Paris Biofoundry is currently supporting projects aligned with at least one of the following axes:
• High-throughput DNA synthesis & plasmid assembly
• In vivo engineering and phenotyping (bacteria, yeast, microalgae, mammalian cells)
• Cell-free engineering (screening, bioproduction, biosensing)
• Bioprocess scale-up (liter to multi-liter scale)

Selected projects benefit from:
• Up to 50% coverage of experimental costs (max €100,000/project)
• Full access to Paris Biofoundry infrastructure & consumables
• Support from a dedicated engineer performing experiments on-site

Eligibility: projects must be based in Île-de-France region.

Key dates
• Call opening: December 1, 2025
• Submission deadline: March 30, 2026
• Project execution: June 2026 – June 2027

This call aims to accelerate ambitious synthetic biology projects while helping the Paris Biofoundry validate and expand its automated pipelines and services.
