The Paris Biofoundry launches a Call for proposals to support innovative research in synthetic biology aligned with one of the four thematic axes of the platform:
🔹 DNA part synthesis & high-throughput plasmid assembly
(96-well plate MoClo-based automated workflows)
🔹 In-vivo engineering – genetic modifications, genotyping, and phenotyping
(FACS, microscopy, fluorescence, proteomics, metabolomics)
Using the chassis operated at the Paris Biofoundry (Bacteria, yeasts, algae, mammalian cells)
🔹 Cell-free engineering – screening, bioproduction, biosensing
(Based on cell extracts or PURE systems)
🔹 Bioprocess scale-up – biological production from liter-scale to multi-liter reactors
Project leaders do not receive direct financial transfers, but benefit from: 50% coverage of experimental costs, up to €100,000 total budget (50% Paris Biofoundry + 50% co-funding required from the applicant) and an access to a dedicated engineer performing experiments on-site using Paris Biofoundry automated workflows.
This call aims to select scientific projects that will help validate, improve, and expand our automated DBTL pipelines and services for the broader academic, industrial, and startup community.
Projects must be located within the ÃŽle-de-France region to be eligible for the call.
