The Paris Biofoundry is hosting the Global Biofoundry Alliance Summit 2026
The Paris Biofoundry is pleased to announce that it will host the Global Biofoundry Alliance (GBA) Summit 2026, which will take place from November 16 to 18, 2026 at the Cité de l’Innovation on the Sorbonne Université campus in Paris.
The GBA Summit is the flagship annual event of the international biofoundry community. It brings together leading academic and industrial biofoundries, researchers, engineers, industry representatives, and policymakers to exchange on the latest advances in automated biology, high-throughput engineering, and synthetic biology infrastructures. Over the years, the summit has become a key forum to foster collaboration, share best practices, and coordinate efforts toward more interoperable and scalable biofoundry ecosystems worldwide.
The 2026 edition will continue this tradition, offering a program of scientific presentations, technology showcases, and strategic discussions. Topics will include the development of Design–Build–Test–Learn (DBTL) workflows, integration of automation and artificial intelligence, advances in bioproduction and scale-up, as well as challenges related to standardization, data management, and biosecurity.
Hosting the GBA Summit in Paris reflects the growing role of the Paris Biofoundry within the global biofoundry network. As the first academic biofoundry in France, the Paris Biofoundry brings together leading institutions across the Île-de-France region in a distributed infrastructure dedicated to accelerating synthetic biology research and innovation.
Following previous editions hosted in different parts of the world, including Asia and North America, the 2026 summit will further strengthen international collaboration and reinforce the role of biofoundries as key infrastructures for addressing global challenges in health, environment, and sustainable industry.
The Paris Biofoundry looks forward to welcoming the global biofoundry community to Paris for this major event.
