The Global Biofoundry Alliance (GBA) 2026 summit will be hosted by the Paris Biofoundry !

The Paris Biofoundry is pleased to announce that the Global Biofoundry Alliance (GBA) 2026 Conference will take place from November 16 to 18, 2026, at Sorbonne Université in Paris, France.

Organized by the Paris Biofoundry, this major international event will bring together members of the Global Biofoundry Alliance, as well as leading scientists, engineers, industry representatives, policymakers, and innovators from across the synthetic biology and bioengineering communities.

The Global Biofoundry Alliance is an international network of non-commercial biofoundries dedicated to advancing automated, high-throughput biology and fostering collaboration, standardization, and open innovation in synthetic biology. The annual GBA conference serves as a key forum for sharing technological advances, discussing strategic challenges, and strengthening global partnerships across academia, industry, and public institutions.

Hosting the 2026 edition at Sorbonne Université underscores the growing role of the Paris Biofoundry within the international biofoundry ecosystem and highlights France’s commitment to advancing cutting-edge bioengineering infrastructures under initiatives such as France 2030.

Over three days, the conference will feature scientific presentations, technology showcases, roundtable discussions, and networking sessions addressing topics such as automated Design–Build–Test–Learn workflows, AI-driven bioengineering, standards and interoperability, scale-up and industrial translation, and the evolving role of biofoundries in supporting innovation ecosystems.

Further details regarding the scientific program, keynote speakers, registration, and sponsorship opportunities will be announced in the coming months.

The Paris Biofoundry looks forward to welcoming the global biofoundry community to Paris in November 2026 for what promises to be a landmark event in the field of automated synthetic biology.
