The Paris Biofoundry at DIM BioConvS Innovation Day 2025

The Paris Biofoundry is pleased to participate in DIM BioConvS Innovation Day 2025, a flagship event dedicated to fostering collaboration across synthetic biology, biotherapies, and technological innovation within the Île-de-France research ecosystem.

This year’s symposium brings together scientists, startups, research platforms, and institutional partners from across the DIM BioConvS network to highlight interdisciplinary advances and strengthen strategic synergies between fundamental research and applied innovation.

During the opening session, Ariel Lindner, Chief Scientific Officer of the Paris Biofoundry, delivered a keynote presentation addressing key issues at the intersection of bioethics, biocontainment, and bioengineering in the era of synthetic biology. His talk emphasized the importance of responsible innovation and regulatory foresight as automated bioengineering technologies continue to expand.

In addition, Ramiz Khaled and Mostafa Mahdy Khalil (Institut Micalis – INRAE, Université Paris-Saclay) presented “Automated Workflows to Operate the Paris Biofoundry,” showcasing recent advances in laboratory automation, standardized Design–Build–Test–Learn workflows, and data-driven research strategies supporting high-throughput synthetic biology.

The Paris Biofoundry is also participating in the “Stands Village,” where scientific infrastructures and technological platforms present their services and tools. This space provides an excellent opportunity to engage with the broader community, exchange expertise, and explore new collaborative opportunities across disciplines.

We are proud to contribute to this collective effort to strengthen innovation in synthetic biology and biotherapies within the DIM BioConvS framework.
